Most “managed WordPress hosting” means a shared server with a WordPress installer and a caching plugin.
Xinc hosting is different: we own and operate the UK-based infrastructure your site runs on. Our servers, our control panel, our security layer — managed by the same person looking after your site.
The stack that runs under every site we manage.
Enhance — professional hosting management
Our hosting infrastructure runs on Enhance — a modern, professional hosting control panel built for managed environments. It handles server configuration, site provisioning, PHP management, and resource allocation across all sites we manage.
Enhance is purpose-built for the kind of environment we run — not a legacy cPanel setup from 2003, not a consumer-grade shared hosting panel. It gives us the control and visibility to manage 150+ sites properly without the chaos of traditional shared hosting stacks.
For you, this means a properly configured, well-maintained server environment — not a server running 500 sites on the minimum viable configuration.
CPGuard — server-level security, running continuously
Security on most WordPress hosting is handled at the application level — a plugin that scans for malware, a firewall that catches some bad requests, a service that emails you after something’s already happened.
We run CPGuard, which operates at the server level. It monitors continuously, catches threats before they reach WordPress, and doesn’t depend on a plugin being active and up to date to work. It can’t be disabled by a bad plugin update. It can’t be bypassed by a vulnerability in a theme.
This is the layer of protection that most WordPress hosts either don’t offer or charge significantly extra for. It’s included in every Xinc Digital care plan.
Uptime Kuma — monitored around the clock, visible to you
Every site we manage is monitored 24/7 with Uptime Kuma. If your site goes down, we know about it immediately — usually before you do.
More importantly, you get your own status page. A live, real-time view of your site’s uptime and response time history, accessible any time without logging in anywhere. You don’t have to take our word for it that your site is up and performing well. You can check yourself.
This is a small thing that makes a meaningful difference to the relationship. Transparency about what’s happening with your site is part of how we work.
Daily off-site backups — 30 days retention
Every site is backed up daily to off-site storage. Not on the same server as your site — that’s not a backup, that’s a copy that disappears if the server has a problem.
30 days of retention means if something goes wrong and isn’t noticed immediately, there’s still a clean restore point available. Backups are tested periodically — not just assumed to be working.
If you need a restore, it happens quickly. We know where the backups are, we know how to use them, and we don’t charge extra for restoring from backup as part of a care plan.
The alternative to own infrastructure is reselling someone else’s hosting — buying accounts on Cloudways, WP Engine, SiteGround, or similar and marking them up. This is common practice and there’s nothing wrong with it as a business model, but it creates a fundamental limitation: the person managing your site doesn’t control the environment it runs in.
When there’s a server-level problem, they raise a ticket with the host. When the host changes something, they find out when you do. When you need something done at the infrastructure level, there’s a queue and a third party involved.
We don’t have that problem. If something needs to change at the server level, we change it. If there’s a configuration issue affecting your site’s performance, we find it and fix it. If there’s a security incident at the infrastructure level, we’re not waiting for someone else’s support team.
This is the main reason care plans require hosting with us. It’s not a commercial decision — it’s a practical one. We can only properly look after a site we have full control over.
The reseller approach
How we work
When something goes wrong at the infrastructure level, the agency managing your site raises a ticket with their host. Then they wait. The fix depends on someone else's support queue.
We control the infrastructure. If something needs to change at the server level, we change it — no ticket, no third party, no waiting.
With resold hosting, nobody fully owns the problem. The agency blames the host; the host says it's a WordPress issue. The finger-pointing takes longer than the fix should.
One supplier, full accountability. We manage the server, the WordPress installation, and the relationship. There's no conversation to be had about whose fault it is.
Most resold hosting gives you no visibility into what's actually happening with your site. You find out something went wrong when a customer emails you.
You get your own Uptime Kuma status page — live uptime, response time history, incident log. You don't have to ask what's going on. You can see it.
We work from a copy of your existing site — files and database. Your live site stays exactly as it is throughout the process. No risk, nothing changes until you're ready.
We configure the site on our servers, check PHP compatibility, run everything through, and make sure it's performing correctly. Configuration issues are handled before anything goes live.
We test the site thoroughly on our staging environment — forms, e-commerce, login flows, any custom functionality. We're looking for anything that needs attention before the switch.
When everything's confirmed as working, we switch the DNS. In most cases this is seamless — zero downtime, nothing changes for visitors.
Migration is handled as part of onboarding. You don't need to do anything technical — we take care of the copy, setup, testing, and DNS switch. There's no charge for the migration itself.
Mid-contract with another host?
Sometimes it makes sense to migrate immediately and run down the remaining contract. Sometimes it's cleaner to time the move with renewal. We'll give you a straightforward view on which makes more sense.
Managed hosting isn't an optional extra — it's the foundation everything else sits on. Every Xinc care plan includes hosting on our own infrastructure, with server-level security, daily backups, and 24/7 monitoring.
